Way to go, Farragut (I hope)

As a former resident of Knoxville – I grew up there and went to the Farragut school system from Kindergarten through high school – I’m very pleased to hear that the elected officials in my old stomping grounds are considering taking a step toward making the town more bike friendly.  The suburbs west of Knoxville are not terribly open to cyclists, at least as I recall: miles and miles of suburban sprawl with little in the way of meaningful urban planning.  But at least Farragut can make this step toward encouraging cycling.  Let’s hope it passes.
